GMP has introduced a new process designed to persuade officers who are resigning or thinking of leaving the force or the service to stay following concerns about retention rates.

Chief Insp Mike Russell heads up the force’s Retention and Insight Team and started the project last summer and told Police Oracle the project has had a 70 per cent success rate since it started. Every force is experiencing the same problems...
