RSR are looking for a HOLMES trained Reader/Receiver to work on a contract in South-West London.

We are currently recruiting for experienced MIR (Major Incident Room) HOLMES Reader/Receiver to work on a full-time, long-term contract based out of South-West London.
The role will be situated within a Counter-Terror unit of a UK-based Police Force, so applicants must be able to obtain national security vetting.
The role is paying £33.03p per hour (PAYE)
Role overview:
SO15 major incident rooms (MIR’s) are teams of staff responsible for receiving, reviewing and indexing all material gathered during counter terrorism major investigations and the subsequent tasking of investigators to drive and direct investigations.
Main Responsibilities
Receive, read and assesses documentation entering the investigation.
Identify and prioritise lines of enquiry.
Prioritise and raise actions to task investigators.
Quality assure documentation entering the investigation, raise actions to rectify.
Ensure documents are stored and marked according to GSC guidance.
Attend SIO briefings / brief SIO on investigation.
Prioritise workloads ensuring actions are raised and returned in given timescales.
Assess and mark documents for registration highlighting content to be indexed by HOLMES indexers.
Record summary of documents.
Deputise for the HOLMES Office Manager.
Work with case officer to build comprehensive case files.
Give evidence at criminal courts and tribunals.
Essential Experience:
HOLMES Reader/Receiver trained.
A good knowledge of criminal investigations and associated legislation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Liaise confidently with external partners, members of the public and other organisations.
Ability to use self-initiative and have confidence in making decisions.
Ability to deal with large volumes of information, across multiple operations, with the ability to prioritise tasks and plan and organise them effectively.
Willingness to be trained in the Altia Scanning software package provided in house.
