RSR are looking for an experienced Facilities Supervisor to work in Fareham, Hampshire.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Support Manager to work as a Facilities Officer/Supervisor on a full-time contract.
The role holder may be required to visit various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and must hold a current manual driver’s licence.
As the role involves working alongside UK Police Forces, successful applicants will need to undergo national security vetting checks prior to taking up the position.
The role is paying £18.41p per hour (PAYE)
Job profile:
To manage all estate related matters at ACRO operations, ensuring complaisance with Health and Safety standards whilst supporting a safe working environment for personnel and visitors.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To deputise for the ACRO Business and Facilities Manager.
2. Support regular and statutory (inc. MORI) inspections of ACRO estates, to review standards of safety and security and provide assurance on compliance.
3. Provide timely inspection reports to the Senior Management Team and follow up where issues identified at previous inspections need actioning.
4. Implement and maintain site Fire Safety Management plans, including risk
assessments, compliance with fire surveys whilst proactively testing through virtual and actual fire evacuation drills.
5. Support compliance assessments against the Health and Safety Management
system to provide assurance to the Force Corporate Health and Safety Advisor that Department and Strand responsibilities are being met.
6. Administer the Accident Management System, conducting accident investigations when required, ensuring accidents are investigated and the system is up to date.
7. Co-ordinate force compliance with (and support where appropriate) DSE and
physical disability assessments for those needing reasonable adjustments to their workstations/working environment and manage the follow up process for the ordering and provision of appropriate equipment.
8. Organise and deliver (if required) Health and Safety mandatory training
9. Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines,
using their own initiative to prioritise workloads and progress issues.
10. Be able to persuade and influence others at various levels in the organisation in order to promote health and safety and ensure compliance with the health and safety management system and associated legal requirements.
11. Maintaining COSHH records and ensuring adherence to the regulations.
12. Ensuring that machinery and equipment used at ACRO is maintained and used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
13. Ensure general, clinical, confidential and hazardous waste is managed
appropriately and disposed of regularly, securely and in accordance with legislation and policy.
14. To be the contact officer for contractors working within the geographical area of responsibility. Ensure all contractors are compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
15. To interact at times with a range of stakeholders including all UK police forces and other relevant agencies and support.
16. To manage a range of services to include porterage, building performance,
office maintenance and to ensure that the physical security of the estate is
maintained as far as reasonably practicable. All to be monitored through monthly KPI’s.
17. To supervise contracts/projects as instructed by the Senior Management Team including producing the necessary documentation such as specifications and orders, and giving authority to proceed for both locally and centrally funded works, maintaining associated expenditure.
18. Manage all outside contractors including, contractor registration, identify
current risks within area of works, maintaining records and contracts, coordinating project activities and providing scheduling.
19. Management of all site documentation including contractor paperwork,
documentation required for legal compliance.
Experience:
Essential:
Good attention to detail
Proven experience in a facilities/maintenance role, including supervision of building
contractors
Proven experience of staff supervision, including allocating and prioritising work and
undertaking staff appraisals and assessments.
Direct involvement with health and safety issues and resolution
Experience of using Microsoft Office systems (WORD/EXCEL)
Desirable:
Familiarity with police/public sector organisation and structure.
Must hold a UK drivers licence
