South Australia Police wants you!

ADVERTORIAL: By South Australia Police
Will this be the year you sign up for an adventure down under? South Australia Police is recruiting UK and Irish police officers who are looking for a new lifestyle, exciting experiences… and somewhat warmer weather!
Joining South Australia Police (SAPOL) comes with a competitive salary, generous holiday package and a host of benefits, with many officers loving the work-life balance. Officers who are interested in making the move are invited to a webinar on 29 July to discuss the recruitment and visa process and what SAPOL has to offer.
British police officer Jamie ‘JD’ Daniels migrated from the UK to Australia after a fellow officer showed him his holiday photos.
JD said: “My friend came round to our house for a curry and showed us a slideshow of photos of Australia, of everywhere he’d been. It was November and freezing cold, and I just remember saying to him: ‘I don’t know what we’re doing here, but we need to be over there’.” After applying to SAPOL, JD was offered a position in the remote city of Whyalla, which he accepted. He said: “We started doing a bit of research and we looked at Google Earth and it was just red. It honestly looked like Mars.”
Despite some initial hesitation, JD and his wife fell in love with the laid-back Whyalla lifestyle and decided to stay for three years rather than the initial two – even inspiring his brother Ryan to relocate and join SAPOL! JD is now based in the recruiting team at Police Headquarters in Adelaide.
Successful UK and Irish applicants, who need a minimum of three years’ experience in the last five years, will take part in a 15-week condensed training course before being deployed operationally.
Recruits will have a balanced work schedule of 38 hours per week and the option to work part-time or flexible hours. Police officers are generally double crewed at the force and SAPOL will reimburse successful UK recruits the costs associated with obtaining a permanent visa for themselves and their families.
So if you’re ready for a South Aussie policing adventure, come and say G’day, find out more and apply for a life-changing job. Register below for the International Recruitment Webinar on Monday 29 July.
